Also does anyone know if I marry my Chinese girlfriend in China will it be easier for her to come to UK?

Two separate questions.

To get a visa for China, you need to complete the form (you do not need an invitation for a tourist visa, ignore that), supply one appropriate photo, and pay the fee. If you cannot get to a visa issuing office you will have to use an agent, try a Chinese run travel agent (who will also have the forms) if you can, but most should do it. You cannot mail or courier the application directly to the consulate.

I have no idea on entry to the UK, I quit the grey miserable place years ago !!

This visa agency is fast reliable and relatively cheap http://www.travel-direct.com/visas/china

This is the UK immigration dept web site http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/

Whether you marry in China or UK you will need to apply for the appropriate visa for your wife. You wll also have to prove the marriage/relationship is genuine i.e. not a marriage of convenience. (Letters, photos together, evidence from third parties etc), This can take many months to be considered and even if married is not guaranteed. Good luck.
