![]() | hi i need to get a couple things clarified about these types of trains. specifically, the D32 from Shanghai to Beijing, and the D25 from Beijing to Harbin. 1. i have never been to Shanghai, but, i have read somewhere (i do not remember where or when) that there are 2 train stations there. this website lists train schedule and ticket price. i got airport info, but, which one of the Shanghai stations is this train departing from and where can i find the exact address and directions on how to get to that train station ? 2. i have been hearing conflicting stories, from different people. some say that i should be just able to go to the station, and buy the ticket right there before departure, others say i have to buy ticket very early in advance, and again, some say 2-3 days, others up to 10 days. so whats the real deal ? do i need to purchase these tickets well in advance ? or can i buy them on the spot at the time i need ? thanks |

![]() | Hi Seeker2k, I got the information about D32 and D25.D32 departs from shanghai railway station at 10:50 and arrives at beijing station at 20:50, which lasts for about 10 hours. And the train D25 departs at 7:15 in Beijing and arrives in Harbin at about 15:19. As for the second question you ask, i think you'd better buy a ticket in advance, especially on national holidays. Once you have fixed the time you wanna leave, i think it's wise to buy your ticket in advance. Buying a train ticket in advance is very easy i think, since in most big cities in china, you can book a ticket and the expressman will deliver it to you. Of course, you have to pay a small sum of delivery fee. If you need more information, you may contact me, i am very glad to help. |

![]() | You can buy tickets at either station. The ticket will say on it which station you depart from. Definitely buy the ticket in advance if you can. I am not sure what rules apply on D trains, and the rules seem to vary at the drop of a hat. So as soon as you can try and buy one and see what they say |

![]() | They leave from Shanghai main train station and Beijing main train station respectively. Tickets go on sale 10-11 days in advance. If you definitely need to travel on a specific date, it would be wise to buy in advance as much as possible. "In advance" usually doesn't mean 2 days. |
