Hi Everyone,

I have a quick question - if someone wants to marry a chinese national but has already been married and fails to provide a divorce certificate for their previous marriage - would the marriage be invalid and would any penalties be imposed.

I know this is a strange question but I am having trouble finding the answer to this question and am really hoping you can help me,

Thanks to you all.

Nikci, you will be asked to submit a Single status document which can be obtained from your Chinese consulate. Without this, you will not be allowed to get married.
You will not be asked to submit a divorce document.
All of the information you need will be on this forum.
Cheers, Dodger.
