Pentagon: U.S. warplanes not forced down in Iran

Iran’s state-run news agency Fars said on Tuesday that a U.S military aircraft was forced to land in Iran after violating Iran’s airspace. The Pentagon denied the news reports.

Iran’s media said the warplane bound for Afganistan was carrying five U.S generals and nonmilitary passengers.Iran said that the crew on board was questioned before being released

This story was refuted by the iranians yesterday. It was a private jet with no Americans aboard. It was Irresponsible for the Iranian news service to put out such an error-filled news item.
