Switching from L (tourist) visa to L (visiting relative) visa?
Oct 8, 2008 23:26
guest99256 Hi,
Does anyone know how I could switch from L (tourist) visa to L (visiting relative) visa? I currently hold a L (tourist) visa and I would like to stay longer since many of my family members are here and my grandfather is ill. Please let me know what documents I need or places I need to go to.

Also, what is the cost in switching between the two types?

Thank you.

well, the fee depends on where you are from.

but mostly, a one-year visa is around 800RMB.

and if you want to get visiting visa, it's quite complicated. I once got a friend who had it done by an agent, if you are in Guangzhou, you can call them about it:
