Huangshan in November - Front or Back Mountain?

NEEJAYMA Points: Join Date: Oct 24, 2008 Status: offline	We plan on travelling to Huangshan in the first half of November. What will the weather be like? Will there be heating in the hotel rooms? We plan on staying in either Shili Hotel, Beihai Hotel or ?Xihai Hotel, which one is better and do they all have hot water for showers the whole day? Friends who have been say there is the "Front Mountain" and the "Back Mountain" and that the latter is the easier one to do. Does anyone know what these two sides of the mountain are? Will it snow in the first half of November? We would appreciate any help on these questions! Thank you very much, merci beaucoup!

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	Yes, hotel rooms will have aircon heating. The hotels with the better facilities might be Shilin and Beihai. "Front mountain" is basically where all the tour groups go. If you look in an English guidebook eg Lonely Planet, these are the areas covered by Eastern Steps and Western Steps. I'm not sure if it would snow in the 1st half of November.
