guest28252	Hello Can anyone tell me that when you leave China how much currency in cash can you take out the country for example take back home in GBP （British Pounds and also RMB）Is there a specified limit as coming into the country I could not bring in more than ￥6000 RMB。 Can anyone help in regards of knowing about how much ￥RMB and GBP you can take out of China as I do not want to get into trouble taking too much GBP and RMB out the country and break any rules。 What does declare mean as someone said I would have to declare the money at the airport？ Any help would be great thank you Des x

APAULT Points: Join Date: Mar 11, 2006 Status: Offline	I believe it is 10,000 rmb, in rmb or foreign curency which has not been approved (ie from approved earnings or converting back of overseas currency you brought with you, but it is very unusual for anyone to check. If you are going to UK (?) what will u do with rmb??

Paul's question was not invasive it was more like "what the hell do you want with RMB in the UK." In my experience, both inbound and outbound Chinese security appears to be very lax; of course, we do not know what happens behind closed doors.
