I am currently in the process of preparing for my wife to join me in the UK. The UK consulate require a P60 and pay slips to show that I am working. I have a problem though. I am self employed and don't have any of these documents. Does anyone have any idea of what documentation a self employed person would give to the UK visa consulate in place of the P60 and pay slips.

Why not ask the consulate? That way you will get a definitive answer :)
