Dongguan city, or Guangdong province?
If Dongguan city, which sub-city or district are you going to?
If Guangdong province (and not referring to Dongguan city), where exactly are you going to?
Are you starting from Hong Kong airport, or somewhere else in Hong Kong?
If you're arriving by flight at Hong Kong airport, what time is your flight landing? How many of you are there? How much luggage do you have?

I don't know about showing a visa to get on the bus at the airport, I've never tried that route and I have a multi-entry visa anyway.
Take bus A21 (fare 33 HKD) all the way to Hung Hom stop on the light blue East Rail line. From there you take the East Rail all the way to Lo Wu, walk across the border then you'll be at Luohu (in Shenzhen) already.

Just a note of how I did eventually get to Shenzhen. On my flight I met a guy from China, Huang Jiemin, he was a total star and helped me all the way. We arrived in Hong Kong and he took me to a Limo. company, he done all the talking and I ended up paying 150 HK$ for the trip to Shenzhen. No hassle and a very nice vehicle, comfy and clean. Huang Jiemin even rang my contact in Shenzhen and told her exactly where I would cross into China and sure enough she was there when I came out of Immigration and Customs. I never thought it would be so easy, but in saying that I just wonder what I would have done without Mr. Huang Jiemin.
If anyone knows this man, give him my regards he is a true Gentleman, he works in Nigeria for a Mobile Group.

Dongguan city, or Guangdong province? If Guangdong province, which city are you going to?
Without immigration? That's impossible, as going from Hong Kong to mainland China (or vice versa) will necessarily go through immigration at some point in time.

Hong Kong airport, I presume?
The easiest way isn't the fastest. There're direct buses from Hong Kong airport to Chang'an. The earliest departure is at 1045, fare 180 HKD. The bus will stop at Berlin Holiday Hotel and Haiyatt Garden Hotel.
I don't know of a faster method.

GUEST49131 Hi, do you know the travel time from HK airport to Chang An by bus? And do you know if the return ticket can get me to Shenzhen, or only back to the airport?

Thanks!!

The bus trip takes about 60 minutes.
Bue Route: HK International Airport-->Shenzhen bay port-->Changan

I have attached a map for your reference. D line is Chanan line. Seems you can get off the bus and transfer to shenzhen on the return trip, but will take more time.

Maybe you can directly go to shenzhen from dongguan by bus. It is more convenient.
