I think that there are times and situations when “adult langue” can be used. There over use can become a habit however and then the words loose the emphasis that we are trying to make..
We are never going to stop young people from swearing, we just need to teach them when and were it is appropriate. Some would say never. It’s been going on for as long as some words became taboo to use.

I think many of you are Prudes. Look up the word *** in the dictionary, you will find it there. Words that were taboo 50 years ago are commonly used today.

GUEST4167 Yea, dirty words were taboos in the the upper-class society of old Britain. Now, the civility has gone. In the western world, Americans may speak more dirty words than other nationals. You probably have noticed it from the American movies who are on TV everywhere.

GUESTZAR It's habitual rather than instinctual; mouthing profanities and swearing insults oneself as a civilized human being, is disrespectful to others around you and is a reflection of an uncultured person.

Don't follow the crowd, be different... and don't mouth profanity!
