The WS-2D, apparently designed for a 400km range requirement, brings artillery rocket performance close to the heavier Short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) that have so far been favored by the PLA. The WS-2D rocket launcher is estimated to have a maximum range of 480 kilometers. It is equipped with various warheads. The carrier is China’s homemade 4X4 cross-country vehicle.
