Hello everyone, first of all, pls forgive me if this post is irrelevant with the main topic. I was travelling in China last September by China Eastern Airline from S'pore-Shanghai-Beijing-Nanjing. Everytime I boarded the plane, I always noticed a classic instrumental music being aired onboard.

The next day when I we're having a stoppage at one restaurant on our way back from Juyongguan pass (Great Wall), I also noticed the same music. I even tried to ask one of the counter girls at the restaurant about this music but she had no idea about the 'title'. With a smile, she simply said, 'this music has no title'.

At first i thought the music is played with some kind of Chinese Flute (Di), I try to search around the CD at Shanghai Bookstore and bought many Flute (Di) instrumental CDs there, but the music i search was not there evidently. Then we went to Chenghuangmiao also in Shanghai, I notice a street musician in a makeshift tent selling souvenirs played with an instrumental called 'Hulushi', and it seemed this instrument is the closest one used to play the mysterious music I was searching.

There, I think I've given enough clue, I'd appreciate if anyone could inform me correctly the title of this mysterious music I am searching for months now. Appreciate also if anyone could send me the sample music in mp3 for example.

Thank you,

Could you have possibly been listening to music from the Peruvian and Andean culture of S. America?

I'm sure it wasn't, and I don't think China Eastern airline would aired the kind of music coming from the naked tribes in West Papua or Malay song for example, as their welcoming music onboard.

Could you hum a few bars for us as it may help us recognize it, or you could ask the PR department of the airline? Someone there would know.
