A few months ago, Yahoo! refused MS's 47.5 billion dollars offer of acquisition. For this reason, the shareholders of Yahoo! were very dissatisfied with this decision. In order to pull itself out of difficult situations, Yahoo! decided to cooperate with Google on search advertising. Now it seems that this deal has failed.

Google has abandoned its its search advertising partnership with Yahoo because it doesn't wnat to involve itselft in the anti-monopoly case. It is said that US justice department has filed both Google and Yahoo! in a suit to stop the implementation of this plan. In Europe, MS has suffered great losses for its monopoly. To avoid this happening again, Google stops its cooperation with Yahoo!.

Yahoo! said that it was disappointed to hear that MS withdraw from the agreement instead of defending itself in the court. Google's withdrawal is a big blow to Yahoo! who has been in trouble.

Affected by this, Google's shares went down 4.75 percent while Yahoo! rose 6.3 percent because the investors believed that MS might return to buy Yahoo!.

By the way, Yahoo! is talking to Time Warner for merging with AOL division. If it fails, Yahoo! will be dead.

There will be no deal between Yahoo! and MS too. I am sure that the justice department will intervene in too.
