Boy’s 2 fingers cut for being handsome

Guangzhou Daily reported this morning that a gang cut a middle school boy’s fingers because the boy is handsome. The incident happened in Xingning City Guangdong Province. The gang has 17 members. When they were caught by the Guangzhou Police, they told the police that they chopped the boy’s two fingers because they were jealous of his handsome face.

The social order in Guangdong Province is bad. Gangster crimes happened oftener in Guangzhou than in other inland northern Chinese cities.

I would just call that sheer stupidity.
Sad story but I can't help thinking that the cops would have some sort of laugh after hearing their testimony: at least make up another excuse please..
