Nov 10, 2008 03:19
guest5283 I don't know if you notice this: there are indeed some similarities between Chinese and Japanese. If you read Japanese article, you will find that there are many Chinese characters. I am not a Japanese major and don't know how these Chinese characters are pronounced. Why do these Chinese characters appear in Japanese language? What is the relationship between Chinese and Japanese?

According to the legend, the ancestor of Japanese is Chinese. So it is not surprising to see many Chinese characters in Japanese.
