| Today (November 11) is the Veteran’s Day in the western countries. In China, it’s called “Bachelor’s Day”. The festival was initiated by the students at high schools and colleges. Later, it became a popular festival for the single men and women. In Chinese, “Bachelor’s Day” reads “光(guāng)棍(gùn)节(jié),literally translated as “single stick”. A survey conducted in Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province prior to the Bachelor’s Day shows that half of the questioned think that women should marry before 28, and the ideal marriage age for men is 30. Marriage fairs were held in many cities for the some-30s single white-class men and women. Do you celebrate the “Bachelors’ Day”? Happy Bachelors’ Day to you if you are single! |

| "half of the questioned think that women should marry before 28, and the ideal marriage age for men is 30." That'sad. How about if a woman doesn't meet her Mr Right before 28? Would she just desperately snatch a Mr Wrong to get married? I know a lot of women are afraid of being called "Leftover girls". |
