34 miners trapped in Henan coal mine

guestflash 34 coal miners were trapped in a flooded coal Mondday morning in Henan province, according to local authority.

The accident occured in the Gaomendong Coal in Jiaxian County of Pingdingshan City in central China’s Henan Province. Eight miners escaped from the accident while 32 were trapped.

The cause of the foodling has not been identified but the local government was investigating the accident.

Each winter has seen thousands of coal mine accidents in China. China’s coal mining industry seems to be the most unsafe in the world.
