The death has risen to 7. 17 workers are still missing and 26 others were injured. The accident happened on Saturday afternoon when a 75-meter-long section of the tunnel caved in on Fengqing Avenue in Xiaoshan District. A nearby river flowed into the tunnel soon after the collapse, said the local news media. The rescue work is underway. The residential buildings around the collapsed site have been dismantled to facilitate the rescue work.
