Can't decide where to go?

I've been accepted to teach in China, but can't decide where to go. My friends say Shanghai but I think it's too big for my first time in China. I like the city but I really enjoy the outdoors too. I'd like a mix of somewhere natural with a nightlife. Does that make sense? Any suggestions?

For most of the people big city is their ideal choice . As long as you are in big cities, you can always find the bar and sth like that , but some small cities don't have .
The important thing is where do you want to go , I bet you must have a choice in your deep heart ,maybe you just need someone to help you make sure .
