HOPE20008 Points: Join Date: Dec 10, 2008 Status: offline	Forever Enthralled (Master Mei Lanfang) As the curtain rose, I was watching a movie entitled ' Forever Enthralled' with mixed feelings. There wasn't a lot of media coverage of the film. The popular media got feedback from the premiere that the principle actor Leon Lai failed to catch the expression in Master Mei's eyes. Although there was a question mark hanging over the "wooden" acting of Leon, I was keen to dive deep for the answer. At the end of the play, the curtain came down to tremendous applause. It's indeed a block-buster movie, featuring a deeply moving account of life of Master Mei Lanfang. Leon was the spitting image of Mei Lanfang in the movie. Mei's sheer strength of his personality and intense patriotism were clearly displayed, hitting every nerve in my body. Just like a plum blossom , its gentle and subtle fragrance suddenly filled the hall and lingered long. -------Hope
