![]() | According to sources, China has started the preparation work for the 60th founding anniversary of PRC. Chinese president Hu Jintao will inspect the parade on October 1, 2009. News media in Beijing said that the military parade is supposed to the largest ever parade in history since the founding of PRC in 1949. There were five major military parades in the past, including the first one on China's founding, the ones on the 5th, 10th, 35th and 50th anniversaries. Foreign media released articles speculating that the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee will likely organize the military parade preparation work after it has presented the pompous Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony in August this year. ![]() |
