Hainan to Macau to HK- trek south china coast

HORSETREKKERS Points: Join Date: Dec 16, 2008 Status: offline	Hi Travelers, Myself and a companion are looking to take the ferry across from Haikou in Hainan to Hai'an and explore the southern China coast a bit. Is it possible to take a bus or train from Hai'an (Xuwen county) to Macau? Are there any interesting places to see along the way such as in Zhanjiang and Maoming where we could stay for a day? Is there a way to go from Maoming to Macao? It seems pointless to go from Xuwen to Guangzhou by train since you can get an air flight for the same price about 400rmb one way. Otherwise I guess going from Haikou to Guangzhou by train, then Guangzhou to Shenzhen, cross the bridge to Hong Kong, take ferry to Macao and then return to Hainan by plane from Macao can be comfortably done in a week and 1/2 spending two days each place not counting Haikou.
