![]() | Who are the best looking tennis players in 2008? Let Global & Mail tell you. It is said that Global & Mail, a Canadian newspaper, has released a ranking to choose the Best Looking Tennis Players in 2008. Roger Federer and Ana Ivanovic have been named the Best Looking Tennis Players in 2008. Congratulations to them! As I see, Rogerer Federer is always pursuing his "Perfect Tennis". On the court, he plays very gracefully. I am especially attracted by his backhand chops on the court. Off court, he looks like a gentleman, also graceful. He also has good sense of fashion (that might be taught by his girlfriend). Did yo remember what he wore at Wimbledon Grand Slam? A cream sweater. He looks very handsome with that sweater. Frankly speaking, I am surprised that Ana Ivanovic is named the Best Looking Tennis Player. Why can't be Sharapova? She is the favourite of the people, especially men. Don't ignore this ranking! It is not totally about appearance. Except appearance, your ersonality and style, and fashion sense will be taken into consideration. Ivanovic in his new uniform. ![]() |

![]() | Nice find Katrina. I agree with you, I'd put Sharapova above Ivanovic in the looks department. I hope Sharapova recovers in time for the Australian Open. Right now it looks like she might not have healed in time for it. BTW, that's the 'Globe and Mail' newspaper. :) |

![]() | I agree with you, I'd put Sharapova above Ivanovic in the looks department. In my view, I think that Sharapova looks sexier and more mature. That's why a lot of men love Sharapova. As for Ivan, she looks cuter. I hope Sharapova recovers in time for the Australian Open. Right now it looks like she might not have healed in time for it. Well, I don't think that Sharapova can defend her champion of the Australian Open 2007 successfully. As you know, she suffered serious should injury in 2007 and missed many matches. More importantly, she seldom did training during her recovery period. She seems to be another Kournikova, a beautiful vase. BTW, that's the 'Globe and Mail' newspaper. :) Hehe, thanks for telling me this, Canadaguy. |

![]() | How many Grand Slam singles titles did Kournikova win? How many Grand Slam singles titles did Sharapova win so far? Canadaguy, it is true that Sharapova wins more Grand Slams than Kournikova. Sharapova has won three Grand Slams and Kournikova has won nothing. However, what Sharapova recently has done makes me think that she might become the second Kournikova. She has attened in more and more business shows than ever since she got injured before Bejing Olympics. If she continues to do so, I guess that she won't win any Grand Slams. That's why I don't think she could defend her champion of the Australian Open this year. |

Sharapova's playing ability and her modeling/fashion/endorsement career. One has got nothing to do with the other. The only reason that she is attending more of the business/fashion shows now is because she can't play tennis for the time being. If Maria was healthy now you can bet that she'd be playing and participating far less on the fashion side. Yes she is lucky to be good-looking, but that shouldn't be held against her. Anyone in her situation would be taking full advantage of business opportunties while she is recovering from her injuries. BTW, I too have a shoulder injury (though not as serious as Maria's) that I got from playing tennis, so I know how debilitating it can be, and what she must be going through now. In the end, when Maria's tennis career will be over, you will find that she will have accomplished a lot more on and off the court than Kournikova has. |

![]() | There are two separate issues at play here. Sharapova's playing ability and her modeling/fashion/endorsement career. Canadaguy, tennis playing ability and fashion career are two different matters. However, if you can't deal with these two matters very well. One will definitely affect the other. When Kournikova started her career, people were attracted by her beauty as well as her tennis playing skills. Later on, she had modeling/fashion as her prior career and playintg tennis became her sideline. How sad it was! If Sharapova can't deal with these two matters, she would have trouble in her tennis career. BTW, I too have a shoulder injury (though not as serious as Maria's) that I got from playing tennis, so I know how debilitating it can be, and what she must be going through now. Are you ok, Canadaguy? Shoulder injury seems be very common among those tennis players. You see, Federer suffers from the shoulder injury too. In the end, when Maria's tennis career will be over, you will find that she will have accomplished a lot more on and off the court than Kournikova has. Definitely. She has already accomplished a lot more than kournikova has. I am just worried that she might move her focus from tennis to other things. Too many business activities are no good for the players. |

My shoulder was hurting much more a couple of months ago, but it seems to be settling down now. But I have other tennis injuries that I must cope with as well! I have problems with my elbow and a very old ankle sprain that has weakened one of my ankles. :( >> ... I am just worried that she might move her focus from tennis to other things. Too many business activities are no good for the players. << Yes I agree with you here. There are so many things that can distract a pro tennis player from their playing career. I hope she can maintain her tennis focus for a long time because she still has so much potential. |

![]() | Yes I agree with you here. There are so many things that can distract a pro tennis player from their playing career. Indeed. Ana Invanovic is obsessed in love with her new boyfriend now. I am worried about her. Her focus on tennis has been distracted. I am not saying that she shouldn't have a boyfriend. I just hope that she could focus on her tennis. Don't make me think that she took the title of the French Open just resorting to her luck. You see, she hasn't won any titles after she won the French Open champion. Canadaguy, all your injuries are caused by tennis? |
