![]() | ATP has chosen the best 5 matches in 2008. Before getting to know the Top Five Matches, I have a question for you: "Which match impresses most?" As for me, the final of Wimbledon Grand Slam between Federer and Nadal did impress me a lot. ![]() | I'm with you Kevin on your pick. The Wimbledon final was the most impressive match of the year. The quality of tennis was breathtaking. If anyone was completely honest, they'd agree that either player could have won it in the end. The match which was played over more than 5 hours was decided on just a couple of points! |

![]() | What a pity! I didn't finish watching the Wimbledon final between Nadal and Federer. After watching Federer lose the first sets, I thought he would lose the match definitely. To my surprise, he won the third and fourth sets though he lost finally. |

![]() | Katrina you really did miss one of the most exciting matches ever played! It honestly could have gone either way in the end, it was so close. The saddest part was that they were literally playing in the dark when the match was decided. Both players were having difficulty seeing the ball. |

As I said, I really didn't imagine that Federer could play so well. The saddest part was that they were literally playing in the dark when the match was decided. Both players were having difficulty seeing the ball. It was suggested to suspend the match but the referee didn't do this. If it was suspended, it would be really hard to see who was the final champion. Canadaguy, who do you think would win that match if it was suspended? |

![]() | >>It was suggested to suspend the match but the referee didn't do this. If it was suspended, it would be really hard to see who was the final champion.<< First off, if you ever get to see video of the final half hour of the match, it might not appear to be too dark, but that's because of TV camera technology. They have the ability to make a very dark picture look brighter than it actually is. The commentators were commenting on how dark it really was there, and not to be fooled by what you were seeing on TV. One of the reasons the referee didn't suspend the match was because it would have had to have been played the following day and many of the people there would not have been able to attend it. >>Canadaguy, who do you think would win that match if it was suspended? << I really couldn't call it. It still could have gone either way. But I think Federer would have had a better chance to win, as he seemed to be bothered more by the lighting conditions than Nadal. Maybe his 27 year old vision isn't as good as Nadal's 22 year old vision? All I'm saying is that *it is a shame* that such a high quality match was determined in the end, under such poor playing conditions. These players didn't deserve that. |

You see, he had a nightmare in his first two sets. However, he wasn't affected by his failure and won the third and fourth sets. He regained his confidence. On contrary, Ndadal might hope that the match could be suspended. In this way, he could have a rest and find a way to stop Federer. |
