Visiting China in February 2009

guest63148 Hello Everyone,

Just a simple question regarding visiting China in the month of February. Any good destinations? I am coming from a cold country so want to visit some warm places, like Sanya. Sanya I visited a while back in 2003. Are there any other places to visit in China during February for a family?

Apart from Hainan island, there's not much that's really "warm" in mainland China during February. You might want to consider Xishuangbanna in Yunnan province.

GUEST28221 there are not so many warm places to visit during February,except Sanya,maybe u can try Yunnan province like,Kunming city,Dali cityor Lijiang.
Or u can visit Nanning which is the capital city of Guangxi province,it's pretty warm here.
I might recommend Guilin,if u want to visit China,but it's pretty cold in winter.

Haikou in north Hainan is almost as warm as Sanya but much more interesting. Ask at the Banana youth hostel, they have very good local knowledge.

Lijiang, Yunnan. Fantastic place.
