After revising the economic growth in 2007 from 11,9 percent to 13 percent, China has successfully exceeded Germany to be the third largest economy in the world. Currently, only the USA and Japan's GDP are higher than China.

Should we Chinese people feel happy while hearing this news? I didn't feel happy. If China didn't revise 2007 economic growth figure, it wouldn't have become the third largest economy in the world. Increasing 110 basis points means that China has accumulated 114 billion dollars. Horrible! If the previous data was wrong, where did the money gone?

Do you think China really exceeds Germany to be the third largest econoy in the world?

China has become the third largest ecnonomy in the world by revising its economic growth figure. This is what you wanted to tell us. Am I right, Frank?

Personally, I don't understand why the NBS revised the figure. But I think that it is unnecessary for China to do this. Ranking is just ranking. It is just for show.

Check this link up and you will know NBS doesn't need to do that at all.
China is already the second largest economy in the world in terms of GDP either by IMF calculation or by World Bank list.
Don't be complacent tho,China's per capita income is very low. It's lower than more than 100 countries and that's why you and me don't feel rich and we have a long way to go.^^
