How do westerners address their parents?

In Chinese culture, children are always supposed to address their parents “father and mother. If someone names their parents names, he is regarded as “uneducated and rude..” I heard that “children in the western society do not say “Father/Mother” to their parents; they just call their parents’ names directly. Is it the real situation?

In the UK and I believe US generally, children always use the terms mother and father or mom and dad even into adulthood. Even son in laws and daughters in law continue this tradition. There are however always exeptions. It is sometimes though of as "modern" to use Christian names.

I still call my mother, mom and would call my father, dad were he still alive. IMO, using your parents given names is disrespectful.
