 | Hi. I am an American female and I have been teaching business/general English at various foreign headquartered companies in Shenzhen for about 4 1/2 years. I'm interested in moving to SanYa and I'm wondering what English training centers are located in SanYa, or, even better, if anyone knows of any foreign companies looking for a full-time trainer? Have you ever been to Fenghuang before？ It is famous for fantastic good views...In the small city ,there are two americans lived in here .They are my English teacher.They lived in here for 8 years... | GUEST44121 | There are no "foreign" companies in Sanya.There are international hotels here though managed by foreign investors.As for teaching english,you would be better off to try Haikou as there would be more demand for english teachers there than Sanya.Sanya was just a small sleepy fishing village very few years ago and this is still reflected in the environment here today.After living here more than 5 years, I can tell you it can get very boring for an "expat" here.The idea of living/teaching in tropical sunny Sanya seems very appealing but very few who have decided to make the move stay very long.The expat community here is comprised mostly of retirees and hotel management.The nightlife can be become mundane and you quickly discover how small Sanya actually is.Except for spring festival the place is a ghost town as even mainland retirees head back home in the spring.Lets just say after living in Shenzen or Shanghai or Beijing you will find Sanya very lacking in everything that a big city can offer. |
