My wife and I are spending five nights at the Astor House hotel at the end of March (2009) We notice from photos the bellboys at this hotel wear kilts (skirts) with Scottish tartan. We are from Scotland and wonder what the connection is. Does any one out there know? We wuold be really interested.

This person is asking why the bellboys at the Astor House Hotel wear kilts, and if it's because of any connection to Scotland.

You are correct Ellyse. I'm just wondering if there is any connection between the Asor House Hotel and Scotland? Maybe the bellboys in other hotels in China wear kilts? I don't know
