Looking for electronics designer or consultant job in china

Hi all,

I am doing my masters in engineering (electronics) in germany and i am interested in working in shanghai..... but i lack knowledge of chinese.... Will i be able to get a job without knowledge in chinese .... ( however would learn it once i get there )

I don't wish to dishearten you but any job in China other than English teacher will be difficult to get. Chinese companies can only employ foreigners if they are unable to fill a vacancy with a Chinese worker or a foreigner who has special skills. Right now with so many factory closures and job losses I think there will be no shortage of prospective Chinese employees. Not speaking the language makes the chances of finding a job even more difficult.

Due to some personal reasons ... I will have to find a job in shanghai ... Is there any probability of getting one , I am sure i can comfortably get job in any english speaking country even with the recession I am looking for companies like Boston consultancy etc .....
