If you keep watching the Australian Open for a while, you will find some interesting "laws".

No.1 Serena Williams win the Australian Open in the odd-numbered years. Serena has won the title of Women's Singles at the Australian Open in 2003, 2005 and 2007. If the law works, Serena will beat Safina in the final to claim the champion again.

No.2 The "black horse" at the last Australian Open will not play very well in the next Australian Open. Tsonga won the second place in last year's Australian Open. However, he was eliminated early this year.

No.3 The final usually takes place between a well-known tennis player and a black horse. According to this law, this year's final will take place between Federer and Verdasco. Will this come true?

Some people call it "coincidence". What are your opinions?

Kevin, your first law did work. Serena William defeated Safina easily by 6/0 and 6/3. She has already claimed four champions at the Australian Open. She also won the title of Women's Doubles this year. It seems that odd number is her lucky number. After winning two titles at the 2009 Australian Open, Serena has earned a great deal of money. In all, she has got 10 Grand Slams.

On the other hand, her good performance at the Australian Open has helped her to become World No.1. Safina ranks the second place and Jankovic, the third.

Besides, the third law didn't work at the 2009 Australian Open. Verdasco had a difficult match with Nadal. They fought 5 sets and Nadal finally won that match. However, Verdasco really did a good job. If he could control his unforced errors, he would have defeated Nadal.

There is another law: Everytime Federer defeats Roddick, he will raise his level and perform very well in his future matches.

According to this law, Federer will perform very well in the final. It is good news, isn't it? I am just worried if Federer can forget that he has already lost four times to Nadal in Grand Slams. This factor will impact his performance in the final. To defeat Nadal, Federer just needs to remember that he has advantages on the hard court.

I am waiting for the moment that Federer ties Sampras' records.
