Buying and number of days one can reside in China

guest01555 Hello,
If my wife and I buy a house or apt in China how many days a year can we live there? Do the normal visa requirements apply? If we can only stay in the apt for 90 days a year then it's not worth it to us. Appreciate all opinions. TG

The normal visa restrictions apply. You can stay there as much as you like subject to having an appopriate visa. However, you have one big problem...you must be a resident for a qualifying period of time, my recollection is that it is 2 years. For most people the easiset way is to teach for 2 years...but there must be no breaks in the twemporary residence permits.
