I have to catch a 9.45 a.m. flight to HongKong from PuDong airport Shanghai. I will be in Suzhou. Apparently the earliest bus from Suzhou to PuDong is at 6.20 a.m. That would be too risky. Is there a direct train to the airport from Suzhou early morning?

I suggest checking out the major hotels as they will have the info. I would expect buses to run from the top hotels to the airport..... but maybe not that early.

There isn't ANY train station at Pudong airport, or even at Hongqiao airport.
Trains from Suzhou will arrive at Shanghai main train station, where you can then take airport shuttle no.5 (18 RMB/pax, 1+ hour) or a taxi (around 150-180 RMB, perhaps around 50 mins) to Pudong airport.
Since your flight out is at 0945, you'll have to be at Pudong airport by 0745. There're trains running from Suzhou to Shanghai all day. I would suggest that you take D460 (0538--0617), which's the earliest D train. If for some strange reason it's sold out, the next D train should still be ok as well, D456 (0548--0627).
