Can't hurt..if you've never had a visa for China before.I would just call her a "friend" though and not make any mention of a romantic relationship.Give an address and a contact phone/email address for her and explain to her that if they do check her as a reference, she refers to you a just a "friend" too.I doubt very much thet will even contact her anyway as they give out thousands of visas every year and are more interested in the receiving the fee more than anything else.

GAFFER Points: Join Date: May 22, 2008 Status: Offline	My last visa request from the uk I was asked for Hotel address(s) or for a personal invitation letter. If you do not stay in a (large) hotel you will need to register with the local police with the person you are staying with. She will need her ID, hukou and home documents. She may also be asked your relationship. Large hotels will do this for you.

GUEST46108	They ask for these things on the application but do they ever actually follow up on any of the info you provide..not that I know of.Not once has my "inviter" ever been contacted in the 5 times I have used them.

Plus, she is the most beautiful woman in all of China, and the smartest, so I thought they might get mad, lol. ty Armand

SHAKINTHEMBONES Points: Join Date: Feb 10, 2009 Status: Offline	Well, I'm here, I listed her, but nobody contacted her, and I am staying at a small hotel, but didn't need to check in at the police station. This is my first trip to china, unbelievable, what an amazing place.
