Guangzhou to Guilin Train

Has anyone ever taken the train from Guangzhou to Guilin. I have read that it is one of the nicest trains to take an overnight journey on. That the sleepers are very well kept and the staff is very good. We would be looking to book a soft sleeper berth. There are four of us. Would we be able to have a "room" to ourselves?

where do you buy tickets from?

Train station itself. Hotels and agents do help with tickets as well, but for a commission. Don't use the online companies, they charge a hefty commission.
