SZX to Hong Kong/Kowloon
Feb 16, 2009 12:40
guest33142 Hello,

I will be flying to Shenzhen to get to Hong Kong, which I heard was cheaper. My flight doesn't get in until 18:20. When is the last ferry leaving from Fu Yong Pier to Hong Kong (preferably) or Kowloon? I've found conflicting information online, with some sources saying the last ferry leaves at 16:30 and others saying 19:30.

If I can't make the ferry from Fu Yong, when is the last ferry departing from Shekou terminal, and how would I get to there from the airport?

Many thanks in advance.

The last departure from Fuyong to Hong Kong airport is at 1830. You won't be able to make it in time.
The only departure from Fuyong to Kowloon is at 1630. This won't be of any use to you, but I guess this is why you were getting confused.
Shekou departures go to Macau, not Hong Kong.
Can you move to an earlier flight? If not, I think you'll have to consider going by bus or train/MTR to Hong Kong airport.

GUEST17126 I took a bus from Hong Kong Kowloon station to Shenzhen airport last fall, through the Western corridor. It took about 1.5 hrs. incl. customs which was very well organised (you get off the bus with your luggage, go through a large hall where and get on the bus on the other side). There were connections every half hour, and according to the web site http://annatam.com/direct-shenzhen-airport-hk-bus/ the last bus leaves at 21:00. At Kowloon station you can take the train to Hong Kong airport if that is where you are going - there are even check-in counters in the station for many airlines.

GUEST33142 Hey Guest33142,

I found this on Google. Maybe someone who is more familiar with it can comment on it. Does anyone know if this ferry schedule is accurate?

http://www.szcityguide.com/living/transportation/ferry/ferry_line.html

There is a late one there if you can stand to wait until 21:00 for it. I'm not sure if going on a bus or train would be quicker with customs.

I hope it helps.

GUEST65188 Hummm. Weird that my name ended up being 33142 in that previous post too! Wonder if we are both US students posting from the same university computer lab! How funny!
