travel from Hong Kong/Shenzen to Zhengzhou, Shaolin and Xian

I would love to hear some advice on travelling from Hong Kong/Shenzen to Zhengzhou, from there to Shaolin and Longmen caves and from there to Xian.

I think fly from HK would save time. Depends on if you are there or Shenzhen

Shenzhen -- flight -- Zhengzhou -- bus -- Shaolin Temple -- bus -- Luoyang -- bus Xi'an.

Luoyang -- Xi'an every 30 mins 0700--1800.

How long is the Luotang - Xian trip by bus? Do you order tickets before hand? Or do you get them on the spot?

I think it takes about 4 hours. Buy the tickets at the long-distance bus station before you board.
