hi,i do have interests on visting tibet,but mainly in Motuo county and the area around..
for a trip of collecting insects(coleoptera & butterflies) specimens for my private collection.
of couse it is also a amazing/exciting/worth of doing.. risk and expedition!

Hi, One or two extra travelers would make this trip into Tibet much cheaper for all of us.

I believe that this itinerary could be great:

Day1: Arrive in Lhasa. Walk around in the Old Quarter

Day2: Lhasa: visit Jokhang Temple and Barkhor circuit

Day3: Lhasa: visit Potala + Drepung Monastery

Day4: Lhasa: cycle to Sera Monastery + visit Ramoche

Day5: Land Cruiser: Lhasa - Yamdrok-tso Lake (see lake from Kamba-La and Nangartse + visit Samding Monastery) - Gyantse (visit Gyantse Kumbum) - Shigatse Sleep in Shigatse

Day6: Land Cruiser: Shigatse (visit Tashilhunpo Monastery) + visit Shalu Monastery + Sakya Sleep in Sakya

Day7: Land Cruiser: Sakya (visit Sakya Monastery) + Rongphu Monastery sleep in Rongphu

Day8: Land Cruiser: Everest Base Camp + Shigatse sleep in Shigatse

Day9: Land Cruiser: Shigatse + Namtso Lake

Day10: Land Cruiser: Namtso Lake + Ganden Monastery + Lhasa

Day11: Lhasa: Saga Dawa Festival on 27 May

Day12: Leave Lhasa
