![]() | On Friday, the U.S. president Obama announced a plan to pull most US troops out of Iraq in next 18 months. So far, there are around 140000 U.S. soldiers in Iraq. According to the plan, most US soldiers will come back to the USA by August 31st in 2010. However, some of them have to stay in Iraq. It is said that about 35,000 to 50,000 will stay in Iraq to Iraqi forces, conduct counter-terrorism missions, and protect U.S. civilian and military efforts within Iraq. These are the three functions. By the end of 2010, all U.S. troops will be withdrawn from the Iraq. |
