I have a question, does anyone know about the Amerispan Language program in HangZhou, I am ready to take the leap and attend a language program in China, after studying for the last three years here in the US. I understand the dialect of Hangzhou is quite different from Beijing, but the school teaches Mandarin. If this is a good program then I will attend this one, but I'd like to hear from anyone with advise. Thank you

GUEST18222 I am not sure about Amerispan Language program is good or not, but I've been to HangZhou and the local people can speak fluent Mandarin, though with a bit accent. Hope this will help.

Thank you for your comment, one of my teachers is trying to convince me to just go to China, and not go to school. He believes that my Mandarin is good enough to keep me out of trouble. But, I feel like it would be nice to continue my studies there. I chose Hangzhou because of the scenic beauty of this city. Whether I go through this particular school or not I'd still like to enjoy this city. Thanks again.

I' m a Chinese. Don't worry, People in Hangzhou can speak Mandarin. Just go.
Population floating is common phenomenon. So in all the big citys Mandarin, maybe with a little accent, is universal.

GUEST41197 Not a big deal. Go to sun urban areas and rural areas where people can not speak English. Not only cheaper, you will be hasle free from urban life. You can learn Chinese without joining any University Fater without paying a single penny to the school. This is how I have learned a little.
