GUEST17126 I have been to Hua Shan. I did it the lazy way because it was winter, ice and snow, taking the cable car. I have read that it is difficult to climb though. Easy to get to from Xian, there are minibuses leaving from outside the main railway station but also (much better) buses from a bus station outside the east city gate though I don't know the exact address. you can also take the train. The bus takes about 2 hours. Very interesting journey through the loess landscape and the mountain is spectacular, raising up from the plain. Hua Shan town has lot's of amenities for tourists.

The ones worth visiting would be Huashan, Taishan and Songshan. I've been to the latter two.
Look on my VirtualTourist Taishan travel page for more information: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/1d57/f4495/
