GUEST49232: In my view the Zhuhai Border Mall is not as cheap as Guangzhou. It caters for visitors from neighbouring Macau where prices are higher than the mainland, so it does not need to be so competitive. Also as a tourist trap type of location, many vendors have very highly inflated first prices and you really need to know real prices elsewhere to get real bargains. I would recommend Guangzhou, which although not a recognised tourist city has quite a few interesting places to visit. In fact, there are more tourist sites in Guangzhou than Zhuhai (I have spent quite a lot of time in both cities).

It sounds like you will only enter the Chinese mainland once, so a single entry tourist visa should be sufficient. Many nationalities do not need a visa for Macau but you will need to check. Travel agents can usually answer this for you.

1) Normal China tourist visa.
3) Ferry would be much faster.
4) Departures every 30 mins from 0730 to 1700, then 1745, 1830, 1930 and 2030. Additional departure at 2130 on Fri/Sat/Sun. 95 RMB for adult ticket, journey time 1 hour.
