| I'm a 'foreigner' who, since 2005 spent a few month every winter in Da Dong Hai and I constatly adimired, in particular, the cliffs in the S-W's side and the bay's overall natural beauty. I have also notice that, although the number of mainlad tourists icreased constantly, in general, the area was not 'eroded' or tranished. I understand that this is an area of special 'ausipcious' significance for the Chinese people and I have seen many turists taking photgrpahs of the three red signs on the cliffs there. Maybe a reader on this site may enlighten us on the significance of the signs and of the Da Dong Hai region to the Chinese people. Recently I noticed with great dissapointment the aparition of a fourth 'sign', actually a dessecrating graffitti in Russian letters. This can be seen on the picture I attched and on my page on this site. I hope the local authorities will find the time to erase this new 'signs' and restore the cliffs to their original sate! GM. |
