Too rushed to do Emeishan in 1 day, you really won't see much. I would recommend that you spend that day sightseeing in Chengdu instead.
Do include the Dragon's Backbone rice terraces near Guilin.
No need to fly Guilin -- Hong Kong, it'll be cheaper to fly Guilin -- Shenzhen then take a bus to Hong Kong. Or you could take train Guilin -- Shenzhen then walk across the border and take MTR to where you want to go in Hong Kong.

Ellyse

thank you for your answer
flight to Shenzhen and take the bus or train to Shenzhen is a better option

Is it not an idea in Chengdu to go to the great Buddha and from that place to Emeishan stay somewhere in that area and than the next morning go to
Emeishan and and the end of the day go back to Chengdu

Well, you're seeing the pandas on the next morning, aren't you? So it doesn't look like you have 1.5-2 days to spend for Emeishan as you said.

Well, you have to fly out from Hong Kong so skipping it doesn't make sense either.
In 16 days I wouldn't want to do any more than 4 major destinations. Since you're flying into Beijing and out of Hong Kong, these are musts in your itinerary, which would take up about 7-9 days. That leaves about 8 days for the rest. You need to pick two out of Chengdu, Xi'an and Yangshuo.
