>>America is a capitalist nation where the poor have to take care of themselves.<<

Bobert, you missed the other half, i.e. BUT the chance is equal to the poor and the rich in US!

If you really believe that the poor have as much chance as the rich in America then you are naive. I doubt I can think of many other countries where the contrast between rich and poor is so acute. India and China are two exceptions

Bobert, check Gini index to see where China is ranked.

Also check the background of those high ranked officers, most of whom are from members of 'Crown Princes Party', meaning they have 'good father'. I doubt if their IQ deserve what they own. Also check with how many Chiese children cannot afford basic education...

In north america, i believe chinese children future achievments can be well explained by thierown talents and hard work other than their family background relatively speaking.

While I agree that cronyism, nepotism and corruption are rife in China I do not agree that the poor in America have equal opportunities to the wealthy. I also do not agree that if opportunities are determined by your intelligence or talents then that qualifies as true equality. The world is not equal, and never will be. Nor should it be. The rich have an unfair advantage over the poor in America as well as China, and everywhere else. It's not the differential in wealth that causes the bulk of Chinas problems. It's lack of opportunity caused by the aforementioned reasons.

All in all, it's lack of resources that cause social conflicts. It's like a person throws a piece of meat to those poor monkeys who then kill each other for winning the food. And the smartest monkies fight with the person who throws the meat for gaining the dominance, which caused the class conflicts. It's interesting and never ends.

I disagree. The lack of resources are the reason for the social conflicts but not the cause. Some of the causes are nepotism, cronyism, corruption, racism, sexism and other inequalities. The differential in wealth is a common cause of social conflict in most countries but not so the others mentioned because most western countries have laws to curtail them.

There exist groups that are binded together aiming at common material benefits. If you feel to be unfairly treated among them or excluded from them , just LEAVE for the place you think you belong to if you have enough self confidence and ability believing something you deserve are awaiting somewhere. This is the traditional ways of thinking and actions that I learn from the westerners...

So tell me. Where can a Chinese minority female go who has no guanxi, little money, no powerful relatives and no influential friends? If she feels unfairly treated where can she go? Where does she belong? It takes much more than just self confidence to escape the inequality.

Bobert, where do you see they go?

It applies to everybody that 80% diligence and 20% luck pave the way to the place where you want to go.
