I read that women cannot enter a monastery except during festivals. And expectant Tibetan women are forbidden to visit others. So, can expectant Tibetan women go into a monastery?

All I can say is that I have seen many women entering Sera and Drepung Monastery - there was no special festival during my stay. I don? remember pregnant women, but why not? There were whole families with kids of every age, babies...I guess there is no restriction.
But visiting hours in Monasteries are restricted - go there early!
