Is there a train from Lanzhou to Dunhuang?

LIZANDSCOTT Points: Join Date: May 30, 2009 Status: offline	My Rough Guide suggests that a rail connection may have been begun from Lanzhou to Dunhuang. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

in fact, Dunhuang City has two railway stations. they are Liuyuan station and Dunhuang station. Liuyuan station is an old one, whose name once was changed to Dunhuang Station for enlarging the fame of dunhuang city. . later, after Dunhuang station started to be used in Augest, 2006,( about 10KM faway from Dunhuang City.), Liuyuan station used back its name "Liuyuan" .

In lanzhou , quite a lot of trains pass throught Liuyuan Station. While there are two trains to Dunhuang Station. one train is a direct train from lanzhou to dunhuang station. sorry here, i'm not sure what is the train No. You can go to the lanzhou station and buy the ticket there. about 14 hours, 1133km from lanzhou to Dunhuang station. hope this is useful to you.

Lanzhou -- Dunhuang: K9667 (1752--0814) 14h22min K591 (1850--0930) 14h40min If they're not running in the season which you're going in, take a train to Liuyuan instead.
