Dear Forum

I am an American living in the Yunnan province near Kunming. Within the 6 weeks I shall leave China.

I want to convert RMB into US Dollars but do not know how to do this.
Is it easy to exchange RMB currency into USD and would anyone know if this is a easy and quick procedure or do I need to wait until USD is ordered by the bank.

I know that Bank of China can do this does anyone know if there are any others?

Thanks for reading and I would be grateful for any advice.

GUEST11202 Maybe you can bring back RMB and change them in your country? In China, changing into RMB is easier than converting RMB to USD

Change it before you leave at BOC

If you've been working there i a procedure for you to change % of your income and you'll need the paperwork to go with it. Work can help you with all this.

Otherwise the simplest way is to ask a few Chinese friends to accompany you to the bank to change it for you. All they need is an ID card and BINGO

That's how I do it these days....................The bank may even ask a stranger to help you out......Been known to happen too
