I just come across this site at the tail end of a trip to China and Hong Kong and thought may just add a bit of useful information to fellow travellers to Hong Kong.
I had a wonderful trip with my family as a whole but in HK we had some dodgy seafood and all got food poisoning two days into our stay. Sparing you the details suffice to say that we did not get very far with the hotel and local doctor they sent us, mainly due to the language barrier. Out of desperation I searched and found a British doctor from Google who provide home visits in HK and got her to come to our hotel within 2 hours. She brought with her a big medicine bag and checked out everyone of us (even administering drips) and gave us all the meds there and then. She has wonderful communication skills and bedside manners. I wish my GP in London was more like her!
In the end we recovered enough to make a quick visit to the ferry, the Peak and Mongkok, all thanks to Dr Lily. No more seafood though!
My wife missed HK's shopping this time so we are hoping to come back next year, minus the diaarhoea and sickness...
If anyone out there needs quality medical help quick Dr Lily could be found under Doctorsdirect.com.hk or just Google. Hope this is useful info.

GUEST21194 I like to say thanks for the information above, I called the Doctorsdirect service on your advice after searching on Internet for a doctor to come and see me, after developing fever from a business trip in China. The doctor came within an hour, tested me for Influenza A which was positive and gave me Tamiflu. there and then, so so efficient and saved me hrs waiting at Adventist, and probably infecting others! She even went to the trouble of calling me the following day to check up on me.

All covered on my insurance , the service was priceless.

GUEST79178 I just want to share a bad experience which could happen to anyone with newbies to HK. This is the third time I visited HK and it always seem a very safe place to be to me, that is until I went drinking in Wanchai one night and ended up unconscious only after a single pint. I have only threadbare memory of what happened the evening before and woke up half naked in my own hotel room the next afternoon. Needless to say my drink was spiked. I was scared and apart from the stolen money and credit cards to sort out I realised I had to get checked out quick for STD. I did not want to go to any doctors particularly at this time I totally wanted to keep this ordeal to myself, plus it was a Sunday and I did not want to wait till Monday, so I searched the net and luckily found this Western doctor on call service here.
A GP from Doctorsdirect came to visit me at my hotel the same afternoon and I was given antibiotics in case I contracted an infection(or infections). I also had a comprehensive STD screening and phew what a relief. I was cleared but the wait for the HIV 3 months test window was agony. Good to say that I just got the all clear now. I still cannot remember what happened, not that I wanted to remember anyway. Of course I have stayed away from drinking in WanChai eversince. The police did even say I was not the first victim there. So keep your wits about!

GUEST14271 I have to share my positive expirenece with Doctors Direct in Hong kong. I was sick and felt really bad, thanks to the posts in this forum I found Dr. Lily and Doctors Direct and can safely state that this service saved our trip and made us feel safe away from home.
It seems like a in Hong Kong doctor home visit isn't very common.. Dr. Lily speaks fluent English, she is very professional and caring. I promised myself to post a message here when I get back from Hong Kong, and do whatever its takes to share this tip with other people.

GUEST40181 Excellent recommendation. My husband fell ill whilst on holiday in Hong kong and we called up this medical service. We were so grateful to see a GP who was from UK who managed to arrange admission to hospital and treatment for him.We were so relieved that there was no language barrier like what we experienced in China. He was very professional and kept us informed all the time of what was happening which was so reassuring being in a foreign country . We had a follow up with him few days ago in his clinic in Central. So glad to have found this clinic !!
