At this present day juncture in our history, which country, the U.S. or China would you consider to be more peaceful both on the international front and domestically and why?

After 9.11. and W. the U.S. will not be counted among peaceful countries for decade or two. No matter what Obama does, the U.S. reputation as a country which guards its benefits with guns remains strong. Of course the U.S. has a curse called TV. It makes even small things big.

Anyway, limited human rights or not, China has not expressed itself as a very hostile country, si I would say the U.S. loses this match.

China has never been safe since North Korea owned nuclear tech to the east and terrorists emerged in its western provinces like Xin Jiang province (hui autonomous region )and Xi Zang (tibet) province

GUEST666 CHINA of course the more peaceful country domestically and internationally; unlike the USA which now have more than hundred thousand of its military personnel in foreign countries, waging war and killing people in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan.

Previously it is also American soldiers who are waging war in Vietnam where the US bombed and killed million of Vietnamese people.... Americans are naturally aggressive and violent a people to first used Weapons of Mass Destruction (Nagasaki, Hiroshima) to kill civilian populations. How can the U.S. be ever considered a peaceful country??
